Ever since the founding of the company in the 1930’s the company continually develops new technologies to treat hard water and rid water contaminants. All the products offered have been perfected through research and development, and used by homes and businesses the world over. Always advancing with new technological developments, company products continue to set the standards within the water treatment industry.
This regional division has been serving the Niagara Region for over 50 years giving customers access not only to state-of-the-art products, but also to local water professionals that know the region's water quality.
THE OPPORTUNITY
We are currently seeking a qualified Sales Consultant to sell in the St. Catherines territory. As a Sales Consultant your primary responsibility will be to engage in prospecting to the direct market. You will be responsible for:
- Achieving your sales targets,
- Maintaining proper records of all of your activities and contacts,
- Completing progress reports as required,
- Identify, develop and establish new customers,
- Keeping current with the direction and trends of the industry,
- Using your knowledge and exceptional sales and interpersonal skills to promote and sell company products and services.
In addition, as a Sales Consultant you will be expected to meet or exceed the following expectations:
1. Emotional control at work, not easily discouraged and be team orientated.
2. Energetic pursuit of goals, organized and thrive on competition.
3. Able to do what is needed to obtain leads and secure appointments.
4. Effectively capture your particular market or targets, committed until success is achieved and willing to adapt to make it happen.
5. Becoming an expert at your presentation. Consistently improving and creatively adapting the information to suit your personality and market.
6. Handle paperwork completely and detailed, providing the correct accurate data in a timely manor.
7. Being responsible and accountable to ongoing improvement of your sales skills on a regular basis. Using your own time if needed to accomplish this.
8. Maintaining the needed daily contacts in order to get appointments. (Approx 25)
9. Punctuality to appointments and company meetings.
10. Improving your closing ratios.
11. Performing your programs completely and professionally.
12. Selling and working in a completely ethical manner.
13. Follow-up on all transactions. Running a referral program after each transaction.
14. Improving you technical skills and knowledge regularly.
15. Attending all home and Garden shows, fairs, events that our dealership sponsors.
16. Scheduling appointments in a productive way in order to balance the need to prospect and sell. Evening appointments and Saturdays will be the most effective and should be scheduled accordingly.
17. Working at least a 45 to 50 hour workweek until a you reach your quota (other arrangements need to be approved).
18. Maintaining a professional dress code.
19. The responsibility of running at least 5 creative programs in addition to follow-up and referrals.
20. Operate under and actively support the visions of the company and the sales department.
21. Obtaining your quota as agreed upon with your sales manager.
COMPENSATION
The above average commission based compensation package provides for income potential of $40K at the low end, $80K at the high end and includes an optional base salary for up to the first four weeks.

- A minimum of 3 years of successful sales experience,

- Strong, independent work ethic and self motivation,
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task,
- Above average communication and interpersonal skills,
Preference will be given to those with water Treatment experience however all candidates who meet the requirements above, have a strong drive for success, and want to be part of the largest company in a growth industry will be given fair consideration.
