Client Profile:
Our client is a large and rapidly growing organization providing maintenance, turnaround and shutdown services to the Oil & Gas industry in Alberta.
Due to changes within the organization, they are looking to expand their team with a service oriented and knowledgeable individual for the role of
MANAGER TURNAROUNDS
The purpose of this role is to manage and coordinate all aspects involved in turnarounds. Also, this individual will help develop and maintain all systems that are critical for a successful end result.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
* Manage / guide a team of up to 25 people during outages and turnarounds
* Develop, update and maintain turnaround procedures and ensuring safe work practices
* Align and integrate the company’s procedures with the client’s procedures
* Ensuring reporting systems are in place prior to any turnaround
* Involved in the hiring of staff for either full-time or contract positions
* Keeping track of best practices for future turnarounds
Qualification of the right candidate:
* Strong Turnaround / Project Planning & Execution experience in a Petrochemical / Refinery environment
* Proven ability to successfully prepare and plan major turnarounds
* In dept understanding of processes, methods and legislation involved in turnarounds
* Strong interpersonal, negotiation and problem solving skills
