Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Two positions available

Location: Edmonton, AB
Education: Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc: Completion of a Canadian Fire Alarm Association (CFAA) certification or equivalent provincial certification.
Experience: 3 or more years of experience as Service Technician within the Fire Protection or related industry.
Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English
Type of Industry Experience: Knowledgeable of provincial building & fire codes for inspection proposes. Ability to train those less knowledgeable. Ability to lift equipment and tools up to 40lbs and climb ladders and scaffolding.
Specific Skills: Perform service activities on electrical fire alarm systems, access control and security systems. Identify and sell basic product enhancements to customers. Troubleshoot systems and perform necessary repairs. Lead projects and direct technician of a lower grade as needed. Evaluate and diagnose equipment that requires servicing as well as troubleshoot problems.
Additional Skills: Read blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems, programs, schematics and operational/product manuals Perform scheduled preventive maintenance work, Complete test and maintenance reports, Logical approach for troubleshooting, Word processing. Possess a valid motor vehicle license.
