Our team is looking for an experienced Network Specialist to enhance our service expertise in the Interior of BC. This position is ideally suited for a confident and capable individual who will plan and manage computer systems, networking, security, and data management in small and medium business environments. The position will be based in our head office in Kamloops.
The successful candidate must have completed his/her A+ and working towards MCP or MCSE Certification. They must also have knowledge of all major hardware and software involved in most small and medium business environments. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential to work in our team environment. You must also possess certification and /or high skill level in the following:
• Windows 2003/2008 Server including the MS Windows domain model and Active Directory
• Windows XP Professional and all versions of Vista
• Exchange 2003 and 2007
• Microsoft Terminal Services
• Firewall, VPN, Router setup and configuration
• Solid understanding and knowledge of all core LAN/WAN technologies including TCP/IP, Ethernet, switching and routing, firewalls and proxies
• Design & implementation of wireless networks and security
• Knowledge of printer repair & maintenance
• Linux/Unix experience beneficial
